Vysali Kalidindi

Vysali Kalidindi, explores the impact of surroundings and society on herself, breaking free to discover a new world. Influenced by Plato’s philosophical theories, particularly the “Simile of Cave,” she uses self-idioms to depict various human postures and behaviors. Her work revolves around the idea that “what you see is not real,” expressed through diverse gestures and characteristics. Emphasizing the significance of sight, she delves into the dynamic relationship between perception, knowledge, and belief. Kalidindi often incorporates mirrors to convey self-expression, and at times, combines different mediums based on specific idiom characteristics. 

She holds a degree in Printmaking from Andhra University (2011) and a postgraduate degree in Graphics from Viswa-Bharathi University, Shantiniketan (2013)
