Shrishti Art Gallery Launches a Large Online Art Exhibition to Contribute to COVID-19 Relief Efforts
Shrishti Art Gallery, one of the oldest galleries in Hyderabad showcasing Indian Contemporary Art, today announced the launch of an online art exhibition, a unique fundraising effort in partnership with the American India Foundation Trust (AIF), a 20 year non-profit organization working on health, education, and livelihoods of underprivileged communities in India and Mantra Capital, an early stage Venture capital focussed on investing in Human Good. The organizations have joined hands to address the crisis faced by the artists and artisans due to COVID-19.
The virtual exhibition will feature modern and contemporary artworks from more than 90 artists to support this cause, and will be open for sale from May 7, 2020 till May 10, 2020 at www.donate-shrishtiart.com. Patrons can view the work on the website and buy the work on the website itself.
50 percent proceeds from the sale will be donated to AIF to support artists and artisans who are in dire financial needs due to the COVID-19 crisis. Shrishti Art Gallery along with AIF will constitute a five member jury from different parts of the country to help determine the distribution of money to the artists based on need.
